“I’m sure most people e-mail to complain, but I am here to say what a wonderful experience I had in your Emergency Room.  I was pleasantly surprised at the beautiful waiting room, the lighting, the furniture and yes, the flat screen TV, nice touch!  I wish I could remember all the staff members’ names but the few I remembered, Ursula at the desk, Angela who took my vitals, the woman who drew my blood and the Doctor, who asked if I had any other problems, were all the most pleasant people I could have dealt with!  I have done nothing but pass along what a great experience I had and if they need to go to the ER, Memorial is the place.  Thank you."

“Dear Ms. Mary T.,
You stopped by my hospital room prior to my discharge after gallbladder surgery.  I just wanted to again compliment your staff on the wonderful care I received during my stay on 2 West.  After my surgery, Gemini took special care of me to ensure I was comfortable and assured my husband that I would be taken care of that evening.  Richard and Leah, the night nurses were just awesome!  Each time they entered my room to check the IV, or anything else; they made sure I was feeling okay.  They even kept my overhead light off unless it was needed.  I felt so pampered during a very long night, and I appreciate the care and concern your staff had for me.  Lastly, the morning nurse Michelle was wonderful.  She made sure my discharge paperwork was completed quickly, and brought me a liquid breakfast with specific items that I would like.

I recently had a four day stay at another Tampa hospital where I was treated like a number, not a person, nor patient.  Everyone at Memorial Hospital treated me like a queen, and I am so grateful that there are wonderful people like you and your staff in the medical community.  Thank you again.”

From a well known radio personality in the Tampa Bay area.

“Dear Mary,
I want to thank you all on 2 West for the great hospitality I was shown while a patient there. I couldn’t have asked for better treatment.  It wasn’t the Ritz, but under the circumstances, it was terrific!

Please thank everyone for me.  I don’t look forward to doing it again, but if I do, I couldn’t ask for a better place than 2 West.”

“Dear Emergency Room Team,

We recently brought our six-year-old son in with a head injury around 5 PM. It was a terrifying incident for our family and your staff was outstanding. From the moment we arrived everyone was caring and attentive. I can't remember a time ever in an ER where the staff was so accommodating. Fortunately, our son is doing well after his 12 stitches and a cat scan. On behalf of our family, thank you for taking such excellent care of our son! Job well done!”

“I would like to thank the following departments as well as the nurses during my stay while at Memorial Hospital.

Going though an ER for any reason is never fun but this time I wanted to tell you that my ER nurse, Hoss was wonderful. He was professional, knowledgeable, humorous, sympathetic, and empathetic to my pain and issues. There was another male nurse after him and I can't remember his name but he was very nice and professional.

Then after I was told that I would be admitted, I then went through the Endoscopy department and I couldn't believe how nice, sweet and very professional each and every nurse was. Nancy actually used to baby-sit me when I was a little girl, I couldn't believe she remembered me. The other thing that stuck out was the "Manager from Wisconsin" (she will know who she is.) She went through the whole procedure with me and made sure I was calm and understood everything. I woke up after and didn't even know anything had happened.

I then was admitted and my first nurse Allison was so kind, she took such good care of me. Another small world is that she is my neighbor only living a few blocks away. My evening nurse was Ana who was also sweet and then there was Gemini who I really liked.

Upon leaving I left by saying ‘I wish you all well but I hope to not see you again.’ What I meant by that was only that I don't want to be in the hospital again, but if I ever saw any of these wonderful professionals again I would hug them all and thank them for their kindness and warmth.”

“I was admitted to Memorial Hospital through the Emergency Room diagnosed as having a TIA. My wife, Marsha, and I were very impressed by the entire emergency room staff.

We want to especially thank Dr. Stanford, Nurses Pat and Suzanne, and Tom. I commend you on running a highly efficient and pleasant emergency room with such dedicated people as I have mentioned.

Please thank them on behalf of my wife and me for their outstanding commitment and dedication to their profession.”
