The Memorial Hospital of Tampa Weight Loss Center
is designed to help patients lose weight and keep it off.
We go far beyond the surgery by providing a life-changing
program that includes nutritional guidance, support groups,
coordination of counseling services, and personal fitness
training.
Our experienced, board-certified surgeon specializes in
the surgical treatment of clinically obese patients by providing
the adjustable Lap-Band®.
Your Steps
– Our Support
Our program will provide to you a multidisciplinary
team that will help in maximizing your results. This team
consists of your surgeon, a registered dietitian, registered
nurse, psychologist, personal fitness trainer and coordinator.
You will be accessing a program that is specifically tailored
to your individual needs. This will include detailed nutritional
information for both pre and post-operative periods. Additionally,
the surgeon will refer you to a psychologist who will provide
evaluations before surgery. You will also have access to
a personal fitness trainer who will educate you on your
post-operative exercise program. Finally, your care will
be directed by a team of professionals including a program
coordinator and clinical coordinator working along with
your team to help you lose weight.
